The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced the Super Falcons’ squad for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Head Coach Randy Waldrum has selected a strong team led by captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and forward Asisat Oshoala. The squad also includes key players like Osinachi Ohale, Oluwatosin Demehin, Michelle Alozie, and Uchenna Kanu.

Training and Departure
The squad will depart Abuja on Thursday for a training camp in Sevilla, Spain, and will be joined by home-based players and team officials. The team will remain in Spain for two weeks before heading to France on July 18th.

Tournament Schedule
Nigeria’s Super Falcons, nine-time African champions, will face Brazil, Spain, and Japan in the group stages. Their first match against Brazil is set for July 25th at the Stade Bordeaux, followed by matches against Spain and Japan at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.

Qualification Journey
To secure their spot at the 12-team tournament, the Falcons defeated South Africa’s Banyana Banyana with a penalty by Ajibade in Abuja. This marks Nigeria’s first appearance at the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament since 2008.
