Nigeria roared into the finals of the 2023 Women’s Afrobasket Tournament after demolishing host, Rwanda in the semi finals on Thursday. They outclassed Rwanda 79-42 to not only book their place in the finals, but also seal qualification for the Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Paris 2024.

This win sees D’tigress extend their unbeaten run in the continental tournament to an incredible 23 games. They face Senegal, the eleven time champion and most successful side in the come competition, while Nigeria will be looking for their 6th title and equal Senegal’s record of wining the championship four consecutive times.

The final is scheduled to hold on Sunday, 8th August 2023.
